Lisaks räägiti veel õppimisvõimalustest, stipendiumitest ja ka töö ning õppimise sidumisest. Esimene loeng aines „Õpingukorraldus ja erialatutvustus“, mis on suunatud IT süsteemide administreerimise ja IT süsteemide arenduse õppekavadel õppivatele tudengitele, rääkis eeskätt IT õpingute ja õppekavadega seotust ning IT Kolledži võimalustest üldiselt. Peamine mõte, mis loengust meelde jäi oli „ärge tehke õppekavast spagetti“. Arvatavasti on see seotud enda esmase sooviga erinevaid aineid magistriõpingutest üle kanda, kuid praegu tundub, et see võib-olla ei osutu mõistlikuks. Lisaks räägiti veel õppimisvõimalustest, stipendiumitest ja ka töö ning õppimise sidumisest. Küll aga oli see eeskätt suunatud päeva ja õhtu õppetudengitele, seega eeldan, et kaugõppe tudengite puhul soovitus töötada pigem poole kohaga pole väga relevantne – küll aga annab aimu, et tööd tuleb teha kõvasti. Lisaks veel siis toodi välja eriti olulisena õppekorralduseeskiri, mis tuleb põhjalikult läbi lugeda. (Vau, Varendi ''et al'', 2015)<br />

Tiina Seemani loeng keskenud IT projektijuhtimisele. Seeman ise on IT Kolledži vilistlane ning töötanud eeskätt juhtimise ja organiseerimise positsioonidel, mitte ise arendajana. Loengut kuulates samastusin paljudes aspektides kõnelejaga, kuna meie positsioon ja igapäeva tegevused on vägagi sarnased. Seetõttu tulid tuttavad ette nimetatud ohuolukorrad, probleemid ja väljakutsed millega inimesi või IT projekte juhtides kokku puutud. 100% rõhutan ka Seemani poolt välja toodud mõtet, et paljude projektide juhtimine kukub läbi just puuduliku kasutaja kaasamise tõttu – ka oma magistritöö kirjutasin kasutajapõhise innovatsiooni rakendamise olulisusest. (Seeman, 2015)<br />

Kolmandas loengus esines Elar Lang. Tegemist oli hea ja motiveeriva esinejaga ning kiidan tugevalt sõnade ja toetava esitluse sünergiat – slaidid olid täpselt seotud sõnadega, samal ajal rikastades juba öeldut. Eeskätt oligi tegu motiveeriva kõnega tutvustades õpilastele tulevast õppetööd ning ka tööelu. Kuna esitlus keskendus Langi nägemusele õppimisest ning olulistest punktidest selle juures, siis põhi teemad puudutasid suhtumist, väärtusi ja eesmärkide püstitamist. Hea mõttena võtan esitlusest kaasa tsitaadi: „Kui elu oleks raamat, siis kool on sisukord“. (Lang, 2015)<br />

Süsteemihalduri tööst rääkis Taavi Tuisk GrabCAD-ist. Tuiski loengus kirjeldati suurel hulgal erinevaid probleeme, millega süsteemihaldur kokku võib puutuda ning nagu ta oma esitluses mainis, siis just kõikide selliste võimalike probleemkohtade leidmine ja ennetamine eristabki väga head süsteemi administraatorit teistest. Käsitles ka ''scrum''-i ja agiilseid meetodeid, mida paljudes olukordades pooldas. Tulevastele administraatoritele oli kindlasti oluline hoiatav mõttetera, et iial ei minda sobrama võõrastesse andmetesse, muidu võid potentsiaalselt tõmmata kriipsu peale kogu oma karjäärile – saad märgi külge. Olulise mõttena jäi meelde, et vältida vanaaja paktikaid, kus palju olulist infot liikus süst. administraatorite vahel suust suhu ja mitte ei dokumenteeritud ning see põhjustas palju segadust ja infokadu – teadmised kadusid inimesega. Kert Suvi käsitles oma loengus testimise temaatikat ning sellega seonduvat. Ta tõi välja, et testimise olulisuse hindamisel leidub eri koolkondi, kus üks äärmus isegi väidab, et testimised pole üldse vajalikud (eelduseks lihtsalt väga hästi tehtud töö). Isikliku kogemuse põhjal ei kujuta ette IT projekti, kust testijaid ei ole kaasatud. Pigem nõustun Suve väitega, et enamikes projektides on tihti kaalud paigast ära ning paljude arendajate kohta on tegemistesse kaasatud heal juhul 1-2 testijat. Viimane arendusprojekt, millega seotud olen, on veninud topelt ajale puhtalt vähese testimise arvelt. Kui projekti tähtajaks tundus sisuliselt lahendusega kõik korras olevat, siis sellele on järgnenud vigaste pisi detailide laviin mis takistavad projekti ''live'' lükkamist. Kert Suvi tõi välja erinevaid põhjusi, miks testijaid on vähe (pole “seksikas“, tundub tuim jms) ning see viib selleni, et paljudes arendusprotsessides pööratakse sellele liiga vähe tähelepanu mis viibki probleemideni. Viimase projekti ja antud loengu valguses võtan kindlasti kaasa mõtte, et sagedasti jäetakse testimine projekti lõppu, kuigi tegelikkuses peaks ja võiks see olla paralleelne protsess. Targo Tennisbergi ettekanne oli kindlasti üks parimatest (üheskoos Elar Langi ja Tanel Unti omadega). Loeng põhines IT maailma ärilisel poolel, käsitledes projektijuhtimist ja sellega seotud probleemkohti ning muid ärilisi aspekte. Tennisberg tõi välja, et projektide ebaõnnestumise tõenäosus suureneb eksponentsiaalselt projekti mahu kasvuga. Olin selle mõttega kursis, kuid polnud varem süvitsi mõelnud, mis selle peamine põhjus on. Tennisberg põhjendas seda eeskätt kaasneva kommunikatsiooni vajaduse ja kaasatud inimeste arvu kasvuga ehk üha rohkem läheb tõlkes kaduma. Seejärel toimus loengus väga huvitav viktoriin väga sügava tagamõttega. Tudengid pidid hindama tundmatuses erinevaid fakte ning selle valguses tegi Tennisberg hästi selgeks, kuidas IT-s tuleb paljudes projektides täpselt samamoodi tegutseda, kuna peaaegu iga projekt on unikaalne ning sisaldab määramatust. Lisaks käsitleti loengus mikroökonoomika aluseid ning nende olulisust IT ärilise poole mõistmiseks. Tennisberg tõi välja, et just mikroökonoomia kursust hindab ta väga kõrgelt oma TÜ õpingute ajast. 7. loengus esines Tanel Unt, kes rääkis oma kogemuste põhjal ettevõtlusest IT maailmas. Esitlus oli väga kaasahaarav ja seda arvatavasti seetõttu, et just ettevõtlus maastik on see mis ka mind huvitab. Loengu käigus käsitles Unt palju erinevaid tehtud projekte ja ettevõtmisi. Kindlasti kõige värvikam oli nende Kosovo projekt, kus Unt rõhutas, et pea ees ei tasu igasse pakkumisse hüpata, kuna esmased suured numbrid võivad reaalsuses hoopis vastupidiseks kujuneda. Isiklikult puudub kogemus juhtida IT ettevõtet, kuid kui Taavi Unt mainis, et kindlasti on parem omada palju väikseid kliente kui mõnda suurt, siis leian, et see oleneb ettevõtte eesmärgist, arenguetapist ning valdkonnast. Minu esimesel firmal tuli kasuks just ruttu suure kliendi saamine. Ettevõtluse poole pealt soovitas esineja kindlasti külastada mõnda Garage48 üritust, et saada hea ülevaade, millise pinge ja tempo all tuleb ettevõtjana tööd teha, et asju tehtud saada. Kiidan ka kõlanud ettevõtja töö kirjeldust: „Ettevõtja töö on tulle tööle ning lahendada pidevalt tekkivaid probleeme“. Olulise mõttena võtan loengust kaasa, et „ära müü liiga ruttu enda IT ettevõtet maha või kaasa sinna võõrast kapitali“. Kindlasti on see üks punkt, mis on iseloomulik ettevõtlusele just IT sfääris. Viimases loengus rääkisid Oliver Kadak ja Oleg Bogdanov, kellest esimene esines lõvi osa ajast. Käsitleti palju erinevaid näiteid andmete analüüsi valdkondadest ja nende olulisusest. Meeldisid kodumaised näited MTA, Elioni jt põhjal. Usun, et loeng sisestas ka neile, kes veel ei ole sügavamalt kokku puutunud statistika ja analüüsiga, et eriti just tänapäeval kasvab antud valdkonna tundmise vajadus märgatavalt. Kogu infoühiskonna arenguga tuleb silmas pidada, et suur andmete hulk eeldab inimestelt üha paremat analüüsi oskust ja kriitilist mõtlemist. Selle olulisust andmekaevandamise juurest tõi välja ka Kadak. (Bogdanov, Kadak, 2015)<br />
