Sissejuhatus

Alati ei vasta kasutajaliidese arendaja visioon bashi ja shelli kujundusest ei vasta kasutaja omale. Kohati kuvatav info võib administraatorile olla mitte piisav või hoopis eelistab parasjagu käsureaga tegelev inimene hoopis näha käsuviibas oluliselt vähem infot (nt kasutaja ja masin, kus ta hetkel toimetab).

Sarnane juhtum on ka terminali värvidega: Mõnele inimesele meeldib must tekst valgel taustal või Matrixi filmis nähtud roheline kiri mustal taustal. Ka selleks on loodud mõningad mööndused. Antud artiklis kirjeldan kahte erinevat viisi, kuidas terminali keskkonda muuta iseendale mugavamaks: läbi käsurea parameetrite muutus ja läbi graafilise kasutaja liidese.

Bashi muutmine

Läbi käsurea on võimalik muuta kujundust ainult üheks sessiooniks kui ka püsivaks. Ajutiselt muutmiseks tuleb käsureal anda keskkonna muutujale PS1 uus väärtus. Püsivaks lahenduseks tuleb see eelnevalt mainitud muutuja salvestada faili ~/.bashcr. NB! Kõik järgnevad tegevused tehakse juurkasutaja alt.
